I’m the photographer behind Bellus Photography, and my approach is simple: make the experience feel clear, calm, and well-guided — whether I’m photographing a professional or a dog.
Most people don’t love being in front of the camera, and most dogs don’t thrive in chaos. My role is to bring structure, patience, and direction so the session feels approachable and productive from start to finish.

The Art Book Session is a curated portrait experience offered four times per year for clients who want more time, depth, and intention built into their session.
This is not a standard portrait session.
It is slower by design, thoughtfully planned, and created for those who value a more immersive experience.
Each Art Book Session is approached with the same calm guidance Bellus is known for — with additional space for exploration, variety, and presence.
This is the signature Bellus experience — emotional, elegant, and deeply personal. A fully guided fine art session culminating in a handcrafted album that becomes a permanent part of your story.
Offered 4 times per year, the Art Book Session will have a specific creative theme!

Choosing a photographer can be a tough exercise!
Below are some questions that help our clients understand the Bellus process!
What should I expect from a session?
The first few minutes of a session start by getting to know each other. I always say that the first 15 or so images are just a warm up. But every session is guided with clear direction and thoughtful pacing, so you will always know what to do with your hands. My approach to posing is to put you in to real life situations that you can imagine yourself in.
What kind of preparation is needed for a shoot?
There are a lot of details that go in to planning a photo session. Wardrobe, location, theme, style of photo are all details we will plan before the shoot. I will send over a prep guide to help you feel camera ready the day of the shoot!
How long does it take to get my images delivered? And how will I receive them?
It all depends on the session you choose. Head shot turn around is 48 hours for individual sessions. Team sessions are delivered within a week. You will receive a digital portal to download the files to be saved to your computer!
Where do shoots take place?
I offer on-location shoots as well as studio shoots. It depends on the look you would like to create!
How long does a session last??
Shoots are usually 30-45 minutes with some sessions as long as 90 minutes. I find that any longer than an hour and a half and my clients are kind of "done" being photographed. That is where the pre-session planning becomes so important! We will have a curated list of locations, themes, and styling before the shoot, so we can work efficiently!
